Pragmatic Play has announced the opening of a new live casino studio in Latin America.

The region is a key growth market for many iGaming companies and Pragmatic Play – one of the key players in the industry – is seeking to take advantage with the new live casino.

Bogota in Colombia has been chosen as the base for its new live casino studio space.

Pragmatic Play said in a statement it released on October 27 that the facility – which will have over 100 live casino tables – would create more than 1,500 new jobs in the LatAm region.

Native Spanish and Portuguese-speaking dealers will be on hand to host the live games, with the likes of Mega Roulette set to be included in the options available to players in the area.

Smart Studio technology is also being included by Pragmatic Play as well, with network and dedicated tables on offer as Latin America continues to provide more regulated markets.

Major Milestone For Pragmatic Play

The rapid pace of industry growth that is currently on offer in Latin America for many iGaming companies has persuaded Pragmatic Play to place an enhanced focus on this part of the world.

According to chief operating officer Irina Cornides, the new live casino studio in Colombia “represents a major milestone in our native content expansion strategy across Latin America”.

She added:

We’ve long recognised the immense potential of the region and remain committed to delivering premium, localised experiences tailored to the needs of each market.

By working closely with our trusted operator partners, we aim not only to support their growth with best-in-class content, but also to continue expanding our presence and forging new, impactful relationships throughout LatAm.

Along with Pragmatic Play’s range of established live casino games, the company plans to roll out further options in 2026 and beyond to make the most of the major new live casino studio.

Cutting-Edge Live Casino Facility

To get the new live casino facility ready for launch, Pragmatic Play partnered with ARRISE.

Chief executive officer Paul Dever described the studio as “a cutting-edge facility that goes far beyond premium live casino content”.

He added:

With localised games, native-speaking dealers, flexible branding options, and full regulatory alignment, it stands as a clear example of our commitment to helping operators deliver truly authentic, player-centric live casino experiences across Latin America.

Localised versions of international live casino games are also going to be created as part of Pragmatic Play’s launch of the new live casino space in Bogota.

Renewed Focus On Sports At Pragmatic Play

While Pragmatic Play is mostly known around the world for its casino offerings, the iGaming giant has also been developing its sports betting products in recent times.

The company has just added a range of data visualisation options to its sports betting offering.

Widgets will provide data both pre-match and live in-play to help sports fans to decide what to bet on and hopefully find more winning wagers thanks to the use of in-depth statistics.

More than 30,000 different events a month will be covered by the new Pragmatic Play data visualisation options, which will be available to its clients across some 18 major sports.

The senior vice president of the sports department at Pragmatic Play, Gareth Crook, described the development of the new data visualisation widgets as an “important expansion of our existing range of pre-match and in-play scoreboards”.

Pragmatic Play seems set to be a key iGaming firm on both casino and sports betting fronts.
