Fanatics Partners with OBB Media to Launch its First Sports Studio
On January 13, 2026, Fanatics Studios was officially rolled out following the partnership between Fanatics—a leading sportsbook—and OBB Media—an Emmy-winning multimedia production studio.
The studio is a joint venture of the two companies, specializing in producing sports entertainment content. This collaboration highlights the connection between sports and pop culture while reinforcing Fanatics’ footprint in the sports betting segment.
A Strategic Partnership between Fanatics and OBB Media
The newly formed Fanatics Studios will focus on producing films, series, documentaries, and live events that fuse sports and culture, reflecting the growing convergence between the two industries.
The announcement was made during a launch event at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, gathering A-list sports stars including Aaron Donald and Tom Brady. This move is a step up from the debut of Fanatics Markets, underscoring its rapid diversification across multiple verticals.
Under the partnership, Michael D. Ratner, founder and CEO of OBB Media, will serve as chief executive officer of Fanatics Studios, while continuing to lead OBB’s other divisions. OBB Pictures, the production arm of OBB Media, will manage all physical production of upcoming Fanatics Studios projects.
Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin described the launch as an “important new media player” for the company, highlighting how Fanatics’ existing relationships with athletes, leagues, and teams will deliver stories that feel personal and authentic. The venture allows Fanatics to draw from its deep athlete network to create content that brings fans closer to the personalities and moments that define sports culture.
Michael Ratner echoed Rubin’s enthusiasm, emphasizing how sports and pop culture are merging at the heart of global entertainment. He called Fanatics a “powerhouse respected across the sports universe,” adding that this partnership would redefine what’s possible at the intersection of sports and entertainment.
The partnership also extends the companies’ collaboration on Fanatics Fest, the world’s leading fan convention. With a 10-year co-production agreement, Fanatics and OBB will continue to develop the event, which returns to the Javits Center in New York City on July 16-19, 2026.

Fanatics Studios focuses on producing sports content related to NFL, Olympic Games, and more.
