Evolution Extends Exclusive Partnership With PlayStar For New Jersey Live Casino
Casino game provider Evolution has announced an extension of its partnership with PlayStar.
As a result of the fresh terms being confirmed by the two companies, Evolution will continue to power PlayStar’s live casino games in the American state of New Jersey.
Evolution and PlayStar were already working together, but have reconfirmed their commitment.
Through the deal, Evolution and the company’s partner Ezugi will continue to serve as PlayStar’s sole providers of all live dealer content within New Jersey, which is one of America’s regulated and legal iGaming markets.
PlayStar is a fast-growing casino operator with a strong focus on live casino and mobile play. Indeed, PlayStar has its Home of Live app that is specifically for New Jersey players with the company claiming this is the first live casino-only app to have been launched in the US market.
Along with various tables for casino classics such as baccarat, roulette and blackjack, Evolution’s most popular live casino games including Craps, Crazy Time, Red Door Roulette and Lightning Roulette will be available to enjoy at PlayStar.
Supporting PlayStar’s Growth
Commenting on the announcement, Evolution’s chief commercial officer for the North America region, Marcus Huber, explained why the companies were keen to extend their partnership.
In a statement released on October 27, he said:
We are excited to extend our exclusive partnership with PlayStar in New Jersey. With the launch of their dedicated Home of Live app, PlayStar is helping drive greater awareness of the Live Casino vertical and showcasing its full potential to the U.S. market.
We look forward to supporting their growth with the very best in live casino entertainment from both Evolution and Ezugi.
Fredrik Liljewall, PlayStar’s chief executive officer, was also pleased with the announcement. Liljewall initially took over as interim CEO after Peter Ekmark left after two years in the role.
He said:
Evolution continues to set the benchmark for live casino in the US market — their product quality, innovation, and consistency are second to none. As we double down on our Home of Live strategy, we couldn’t ask for a better partner to help us deliver the most immersive and trusted live casino experience available today.

Positive Partnership Amid Turbulent Times
Evolution extending the terms of the company’s deal with PlayStar comes as a boost for the casino game provider during a difficult period.
The firm recently announced that its revenue for the third quarter of the year had fallen by 2.4%, sitting at €507.1 million for the three-month period. Evolution stated that this was partly due to sustained cyber-attacks across the important Asian region, while European revenue hit €182.2 million, which was a slight rise from the previous quarter’s results of €180.2 million.
Evolution also made headlines recently when the company accused its iGaming rival Playtech of being behind a report into its business practices by Black Cube, which it described as being part of a “smear campaign”.
In a statement, Evolution said that the company will now be taking legal action against the Black Cube report, with Playtech now set to be included in the latest litigation from the iGaming firm.
However, Playtech quickly hit back at Evolution’s claims over the 2021 report, claiming that the investigation was “undertaken lawfully” amid question marks over business practices.
